“Wild America is a young American group that works in heavy rock close to what was done in the 1990s, that is to say in the line of Tattoo Rodeo, Tora Tora or even XYZ. It gives a mix of big rock tracks full of groove, with huge, saturated riffs, which blossom blues and boogie like on the excellent "Long Road" which opens hostilities or the eponymous "Gasoline". Suffice to say that this album is intended for those who have hard rock pegged to the body. Because Wild America knows how to write devilishly effective titles, nourished in both arena rock and blues rock. Thus, the mid-tempo "Rockstar" is based on an effective chorus, intended to be taken up in chorus. Supported by a warm organ that colors the whole, it has the effect of a melodic bomb taking us back to the last century.

Wild America also knows how to calm the game, by offering us moments full of feeling, such as the ballad "Something Inside" sung in two voices. Reviving the great moments of American heavy rock, the group is part of a timeless current and proves to us that it is steeped in talent. His knowledge of American music is obvious, as evidenced by "Til the End", another southern rock ballad, with contributions from country music, and on which the song of Joe Labbadia knows how to be captivating. The blues on edge, the quartet takes the listener by the feelings, with the lyric "She Will" which could have been written by Nickleback. The mix between acoustic and electric guitars works wonderfully, while the chorus makes you want to sing loudly. Taking care of his arrangements, Wild America also distils touches of soul in Little Caesar style on the astonishing "Bleed", illuminated by a beautiful solo.

With this first album, Wild America is part of the good surprises of this year 2019, since the self-produced group signed with Kivel Records. This mixture of melodies and power should delight fans of organic and sincere music. Listen to “Maybe Tonight” to understand what the group can offer us. And for those who think that it is impossible to instill unifying melodies and refrains in hard rock, put "Is Anybody Listening" and you will understand that it is possible, because this title is a real bomb.”
